I read just about every "Goosebumps" book, and then graduated to R.L. Stine's series that was aimed at a slightly older audience - "Fear Street." As an older teenager, I read Stephen King. Oddly, as an adult I read almost no books of the horror genre, although I still like a scary movie every once in a while!
