Your Studies 1. What subjects are you studying? Well, I am currently a freshman/ sophomore/ senior/ junior in XX University. And my major is drama-related. So my subjects cover Western Drama, Chinese literature and stuff like that.
2. Why did you choose to study that(those) subjects(s) ? As I previously said, I am a drama-related student.I guess the reason why I chose this major is becauseI am a city girl. I pretty love movies, dramas. So arts is my kind of thing.
3.Do you like your subject? Why or why not? Is it very interesting? Definitely. As for me, I think my major is creative and interesting. Furthermore, it can give me a bright future. It enables me to find a stable and high-paid job.
4. Which secondary school subject do you think is most useful for people in adultlife? From my experience, I think it must be Maths. For example, it helps me to know how to count when there’s a sale, I’d know how much discount I’d save.
5.Are you looking forward to working? To be honest with you/ To tell you the truth. No. Having to work means I would have more responsibility, such as starting a family, having to take care of my parents. So unlike being a student, workers have to face a great deal of pressure.
6. Do you prefer to study in the mornings or in the afternoons? If I have to choose, maybe in the mornings. The reason being is I can focus better in the mornings. So I wouldbe more alert. Whatever I study I can remember, it is very refreshing to me. On the other hand, I’d be more sleepy.
7. Do you have a teacher? Why do you like the teacher? How did he/she help? Of course/ Without a doubt/ Definitely/ Certainly. My maths teacher in my high school is detail-oriented. Whatever she told us, we would listen carefully. And she had a great sense of humor. Her classes were always entertaining and interesting. The time went by really fast.
Your Hometown 1. Where’s your hometown? Please describe your hometown a little. Well, I come from Haikou, Hainan Province. It’s located in the southern part of China. In fact, it’s a tourism city. So there are a lot of visitors here every year.

4. What’s the weather/ climate like in your hometown? As for me, I come form Hainan. Most of the year, the climate is more like summer. And the average temperature is usually around 25-30 centigrade. On top of that, we do havea monsoon season (梅雨季节) and during that time it would rain heavily and we may have flood. / The four seasons are very distinctive from one another (四季分明)but my favorite season is …
5. What are some of the changes that have taken place in your hometown? I have to say Hainan is a developing city, there are more and morehigh-rise buildings especially residential apartments. The free ways become wider and wider. As a result, our city becomes extremely crowed.
6. What would you say are the good points and bad points of your hometown? Well, everything has its pros and cons. For example, Hainan is an island and it is far away from major cities, so it is not as polluted. However, even though we may not have a high salary, the cost of living there is very high. Also, it has very poor security. It is not a safe place for living.
Your Accommodation 1. Do you live in a house or a flat? Do you live by yourself? In fact, majority of the time, I am living in the school dormitory with 5 other roommates. Actually it’s crowded and I can hardly have any privacy space. / In fact, I’m actually living in the center of city, the downtown area. There are lots of facilities surrounding me. 2. Can you describe the place where you live? Well, I live in an apartment. It is a pretty well equipped community, which has a garden. To be specific, I am living on the fifth floor, so from there. I can have a great view of the city. 3. Which is your favorite room in your house/apartment? Which room do you spend the most time in? It must be my own bedroom. The reason being is that I am able to do whatever I like in my bedroom, without being disturbed, such as surfing the net, reading the novel. In addition, my bedroom represents who I am because I decorated it by myself. Also, I am a home person, so I love being in my own room. // It must be the living room/ dinning room. I’m able to spend my quality time with my family there because I tend to be quite busy. And my living room is filled with lots of great memories.
4. What do you usually do in your house/apartment? Which room do you spend the most time in? To tell you the truth, I am too busy to stay at home, because majority of the time, I am at work. But when I am at home, I would read especially novels because it is a good way to relax/ unwind. In addition, I also love to watch TV, for example, reality shows.
5. Please describe the room you live in? Actually, my room is not very big, but it iscozy and comfy. Even though, my room is so small. My favourite piece of furniture is actually my bed, a over-the-top bed. It’s so great that I can sleep on there for over 12 hours.
